In Israel . . .

Michelle, my dear Downey friend since age 3, this song is dedicated to you and our 6th grade social studies class with Mrs. Duddly. I will forever have this catchy tune stuck in my head that we wrote as twelve-year-olds! (Please tell me you remember this song.) We were going to wear towels on our heads when we performed it in front of the class, but then we chickened out. :) I figured it was only right to include this since I am finally going to Israel! Who knew?

Israel (to the tune of The Adam’s Family theme song)

In Israel you’ll see
The way things used to be.
From green hills to the sea,
The Sea of Galilee.

Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.) Du-nu-nu-nu. Snap snap. Du-nu-nu-nu. Du-nu-nu-nu. Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.)

The people there are Jews
And speak Hebrew
They eat bread and goat cheese,
So try some if you please.

Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.) Du-nu-nu-nu. Snap snap. Du-nu-nu-nu. Du-nu-nu-nu. Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.)

The people live in houses
Along with all their spouses
(Something about adobe and mud?? . . .)
That's what they call their homes.

Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.) Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.) Du-nu-nu-nu. Du-nu-nu-nu. Du-nu-nu-nu. (Snap, snap.)
